Our staff monitors the premium mail server daily, we catch 99% of spam, and even offer additional tools that the end user can implement to further catch spam.
A major concern of many is that they #1 do not want to see spam, but #2 they don't want to miss important emails. So as part of our premium hosting we will filter your email before it reaches your inbox saving your company time and money.
We have carefully setup parameters, which check all incoming mail messages and daily update against new threats. We then daily monitor the spam server, and check for any mails, which could have accidentally been caught.
How does the spam filtering process work you might ask? Well there are over 600,000 rules that emails must pass to be considered a valid mail.
As you can see in the list above before mail is delivered to your mailbox.
The average domain name is now receiving over 1000 emails per week, however 80% of those are spam.
Some companies have chosen to go with other spam filtering methods. However, none are this time efficient or cost effective.
Other common spam servers that are used by our competition require each user to go through the spam filter and either white list or black list the spam. However after a few months, people get lazy, and do not check the spam filter. Important messages are missed. As well as time is wasted for each user to manually go through the list.
Another option is that no filtering occurs and then people are swamped with spam, and end up spending their entire time filtering spam out of their inbox. In addition to wasting time they are opening themselves up to spyware and viruses.
We cannot guaranty that all viruses will be eliminated using our system, however, this does act as a primary filter keeping your computer safe. You will still need to run your own virus filter on your computer.
Secondary spam filtering.
If catching 99% of the spam isn't effective enough, we do also offer 3 more spam filtering options.
1. SPF settings - This is enabled by default. It uses some complex rules about who is sending mail, and when a forged mail is sent it is marked as spam. This is a very easy to use spam filter. Which many will find valuable. Others will be happy with the standard system and want to disable this feature.
2. Friends system - If you only want select people to be able to email you, you can setup a friends system. The first time a person emails you they have to either verify themselves as who they are through the system or you can manually add them, to your friends list.
3. Centipaid - For person to send you an email they will have to spend a small amount of money to send you a message (usually .01 or .02 cents each message).
Methods to Check your Email
In addition to offering the best spam filtering on the market, we also have the best ways for our users to check their email.
Webmail
Webmail allows users to check their email anywhere that there is Internet access. It is a highly developed program that is easy to use, and secure. (We use the highest security including SSL cert signed by go daddy, the largest and most well known company in the business) Our webmail program also in addition to all the additional spam filtering options above also offers calendaring, filestorage (file sharing), photo sharing, and blogging capabilities. If a person only has 1 email address that they check regularly they would most likely use this option.
Pop/Imap
Pop and imap mail services lets the end user use programs ran on their own computer, such as programs like Outlook, to check there email. If the end user has high speed internet (DSL/cable) we highly recommend that they use IMAP. It keeps a copy of the message on the server, as backup, and also lets them check their email through webmail. (Many mail servers do not allow this option, it is fairly server intensive, however, we all this feature on our premium mail server)
